SteelDusk
Made for the Lion Jam 2026
Description
82 years ago, we discovered the first evidence of the ancient proto-human. 70 years ago, we discovered the first proto-human wonders, cities buried deep within the ground. 30 years ago, we discovered how to repurpose their technology for our own. 10 days ago, all powered mechs began attacking all humans in sight.
Venture into these ancient wonders, and defeat their guardians. You cannot allow what happened to the people who once lived near these wonders to happen to you.

How to Play
You win by destroying the enemy's head, body, or any two other limbs. Minigames are used to attack and defend. Read the dialogue box during combat to see instructions on the next minigame. Limbs can have accuracy and evasion values. Higher accuracy will make your attack minigames easier. Higher evasion will make your defense minigames easier.
After combat, you can swap parts with your enemy. You should do this often as a way to gain health, increase your accuracy, and increase your evasion.
During combat, you can select an enemy part to target and a part to defend. When dealing damage, you are more likely to hit the part you target. The part you defend has a 66% chance of ignoring damage. Heads also have an evasion bonus, which makes minigames harder when you target them.
